Many large-scale indoor play spaces like Chuck E. Cheese and Monkey Joe’s have saturated the market but where they get it wrong is not taking into account the adult experience. Some questions arise: What would make an adult want to spend time there? Can we provide kids with healthier food than a frozen pizza? Could we incorporate the important players in the surrounding community (like local food/coffee purveyors) to make it more of a one-stop-neighborhood-shop for parents, kids, caretakers and individuals? As work is heading to a more virtual realm, many caretakers need options that make it so they can sit and write an email while their child is safely and effectively engaged in play. Why not us? Why not now?
Our Story
Upon returning to Orlando, she mentioned to her sister-in-law that someone needed to address this need, especially considering how hot and rainy it is in Florida most of the year.
One thing led to another and they got a business plan together, put an offer on a building, lost the building they put an offer on, found another (perfect) building, rented that building, and the rest is herstory!
